Good News for Farmers! 85% Subsidy is available on Beekeeping; This is How You can Avail the Benefit

For this, the central and state governments are running many schemes. In this series, the Haryana government has increased subsidy on beekeeping to promote animal husbandry across the state.

Animal husbandry sector is witnessing rapid growth in the country since the last few decades. Considering this scenario, the central and state governments are bringing several important schemes for further growth in animal husbandry business. For farmers, animal husbandry is a business where the possibility of loss is very less. For this, the central and state governments are running many schemes. In this series, the Haryana government has increased subsidy on beekeeping to promote animal husbandry across the state.

Increased subsidy on beekeeping

Subsidy on beekeeping in Haryana has been increased by 45 percent. Earlier, up to 40 percent subsidy was given on bee keeping, but now 85 percent subsidy will be given with an increase of 45 percent. According to reports, horticulture department of the state will soon publicise the subsidy amount including beekeeping and promotion. Under this, farmers, planters and unemployed youth will be motivated to adopt the business of beekeeping.

How to get Subsidy for Beekeeping?

According to the Horticulture Department, farmers, gardeners and unemployed youth can directly contact the Horticulture Officers or Deputy Directors of Integrated Beekeeping Development Center Ramnagar, Kurukshetra to avail the increased subsidy amount in government schemes. After this, you can apply and take advantage of the schemes.

Department will Provide Bee Keeping Box

It is special that farmers will be given bins for beekeeping from Ramnagar Development Center. Apart from this, the horticulture department will provide bees from recognized B-breeder. As per reports, 50 to 60 thousand bees can be kept in a bee Can or Box. With this, honey production up to 1 quintal can be obtained.

The quality and yield of crops will be increased

 By promoting beekeeping in the state, the quality and yield of crops will be increased through pollination. Many farmers do not allow bee keepers to keep bins near their fields, as they think that bees will eat all their crops. But let us know that there is no risk of crops being treated by bees, while bees increase the yield of crops. The biggest friend of bee crops is an insect. Please tell that in 1-acre mustard, the pollination of bees can increase the yield from 3 to 4 quintals. In this way, the amount of sulfur in mustard oil increases by 10 percent.

Rs. 50 lakhs for B breeder scheme

Rs. 24000 per bee colony and 50 cartons

Training of women in beekeeping, Rs 42 lakhs on cans and equipment, Rs 50 thousand per group

Rs 25 lakhs per project for Customer hiring center

Honey and other bee cold storage of Rs 80 lakhs, up to a maximum of Rs 40 lakhs per project
