Good News for Livestock Farmers: Soon Treatment of Animals will be done at Home under 'Maha Pashudhan Sanjeevani' Yojana

In Maharashtra, treatment of animals will be available at home. For this, the Maharashtra government has tied up with Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (BFIL). BFIL is a subsidiary of private sector IndusInd Bank.

In Maharashtra, treatment of animals will soon be done at home. For this, the state government has tied up with Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (BFIL). BFIL is a subsidiary of private sector IndusInd Bank.  

IndusInd Bank has said that its subsidiary Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (BFIL) has agreed with the Government of Maharashtra. Under this, the facility of treating livestock of farmers in the state will be made available at home. 

The bank in a statement said that the name of the scheme is 'Maha Pashudhan Sanjeevani'. Joint initiative would be implemented under Mukhyamantri Swasthya Yojana i.e. All veterinary services available to farmers will be provided in one phone call only. 

It has also mentioned about a toll-free number 1962 that will be operational from January 2021. BFIL signed an agreement to support the 'Maha Livestock Sanjeevani' scheme as its corporate social responsibility in the presence of Maharashtra Animal Husbandry Minister Sunil Kedar, Sports and Youth Minister Anoop Kumar and officials of the state government and IndusInd Bank. 

In the first phase of this scheme, animal treatment will be available in 81 talukas located in 31 districts of Maharashtra. The total livestock population in these areas is 1.96 crore. 

Veterinary services will be provided through an integrated telemedicine and service management platform developed by BFIL. These services will be available to veterinary farmers for treatment, vaccination, artificial insemination of animals, their care and all animal husbandry related information.
