India is under a lockdown due to the menace created by the pandemic Coronavirus. In the situation of lockdown across the country, people cannot go out to buy necessary items like ration and other food items. In such situation, the government is making every effort to keep its citizens from facing any challenges during the lockdown. One of such efforts is the government’s step towards supplying fodder to the cattle rearers so that they can feed the animals without any hassle. With this, there is no need for cattle rearers to worry about animal fodder.

The cattle rearers of Dhanbad in Jharkhand will now be supplied with cattle fodder by the government in an unhindered manner. The Department of Animal Husbandry and Cooperation has announced that there will be uninterrupted supply of fodder and food for the animals during the lockdown. Even during the lockdown, every facility will be provided to livestock and animals.

After the lockdown, cattle rearers were struggling to get animal fodder as all the transportation services are scrapped by the government. Along with this, the sale of milk has also gone. Not only has this, many cases of black marketing have also been reported. The prices of fodder also increased due to the lockdown and the supply of milk also decreased. However, the department has now given instructions to put a stopper to all this.

The supply of fodder and food for the animals will take place by road in the neighboring states of Bihar and West Bengal. Because of the Corona virus crisis, the supply had been stopped. But with the government’s step to provide fodder, all services have been made free. The government realized the fact that it is very important to supply fodder to the cattle rearers, thereby, decided to supply the fodder without any interruption.
