Vet Varsity wins Overall Champions Trophy at 19th All India Inter-Agri Unifest

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) has won the Overall champions Trophy at 19th All India Inter-Agri Unifest held on 3 to 7 February 2019 at Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada University in Gujarat. GADVASU Vice-Chancellor, Dr. A. S. Nanda and University Officers congratulated the winning group and appreciated the students for their laudable achievement.

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) has won the Overall champions Trophy at 19th All India Inter-Agri Unifest held on 3 to 7 February 2019 at Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada University in Gujarat. GADVASU Vice-Chancellor, Dr. A. S. Nanda and University Officers congratulated the winning group and appreciated the students for their laudable achievement. Dr. Nanda stressed on the importance of students’ participation in co-curricular activities for personality development, besides the academics and also highlighted that the vet varsity despite having a lesser number of students and an emerging university has attained another milestone at National level. 

A team of 22 students along with 7 accompanists led by Dr. Naresh Kumar Sood (President, UDDMC) and Dr. Rabia Bhardwaj as team managers took part in the Inter-Agri Unifest held in Gujarat. Over 2000 students from 64 Agriculture and Veterinary Universities of India participated in the Unifest that was inaugurated by Sh. Vijay Rupani, Chief Minister of Gujarat.  Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi through video conferencing addressed the audiences on the valedictory function and also motivated the youth. 

Mrs. Nidhi Sharma, Welfare Officer of GADVASU told students won awards in nine out of 18 events and thus bagged the overall Champions Trophy.
GADVASU students got prizes in all the categories of cultural events, including first in Group Dance; second in Group Song (patriotic), second in Skit and Clay Modeling, second in Debate (for the motion), third in Debate (against the motion), fourth in Mine, Poster Making and Light Vocal Music. 

Director Students' Welfare of the university, Dr. Satyavan Rampal commending the winning team told that the group was formed carefully with students having multiple talents given preference due to restrictions on the number of participants, which played a major role in winning the prestigious Overall Champions Trophy.
