After completing a degree or diploma in animal husbandry, the professionals can either run their own farms or can work in more specialized areas. You can also work as a consultant to a commercial or management officer and can also work as a relations manager on a farm. How to get admission in Animal Husbandry colleges?

Students can get admission in Under Graduate courses after completing their class 12th with Physics Chemistry and Biology subjects.

And after you complete the UG course, you can apply for admission in the postgraduate or diploma course.

Later, once you complete your post graduation in the field, you will be eligible for Ph.D. courses.

National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal

National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) initially started as Imperial Institute of Animal Husbandry and Dairying in 1923 in Bangalore. Later it was expanded and called as Imperial Dairy Institute in 1936 and in 1947 it was renamed as National Dairy Research Institute. Consequently, in 1955, NDRI headquarters was shifted to Karnal in Haryana. At present, NDRI provides B.Tech in Dairy Technology (DT), Diploma in Dairy Technology, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. It also offers Master’s program in dairying and doctoral programs in the various disciplines of dairying.

College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Gujarat

The College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry is a well known educational and research institute in India which was established on 16th August 1964 by the Government of Gujarat. Later, it became a part of the Gujarat Agricultural University in 1974. The College offers graduate courses in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry. And has an intake of 82 students every year.
