The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, or PM-Kisan Yojana, is simply a scheme by the government of India.
Under this scheme, all small and marginal farmers will get up to Rs six thousand per year as minimum income support. What should you know about this Scheme?
Under the PM Kisan Yojana, income support of six thousand rupees per annum is given to all eligible farmer families across the country in three equal installments of two thousand rupees after every four months. The fund of Rs two thousand is directly transferred to the farmers' bank accounts or the farmer's family.
The goals of this Scheme:
There are different goals of these schemes, and the basic ones are:
- To provide income support to all eligible landholding farmers and their families.
- PM-KISAN scheme help farmers in procuring diverse inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields proportionate with the anticipated farm income.
- It aims to boost the coverage of PM-KISAN to around fourteen-point five crore beneficiaries. It aims to include nearly two crores more farmers with a projected expenditure of Rs. 87,217.50 crores. For this, it will get funds from the Central Government.
Eligibility for this Scheme
- Landholding farmers' families having cultivable land in their names can apply for the scheme.
- Farmers from both the urban as well as rural areas are eligible.
- Small as well as marginal farmers' families can apply.
People not eligible for PM Kisan scheme
- Institutional landholders
- Beneficiaries having higher economic status are not entitled.
- Retired pensioners are having a monthly pension of more than Rs ten thousand cannot apply.
- The ones who pay income tax are not eligible.
- Farmer families holding constitutional posts
- Present or even retired officers and employees of state or central government. It also includes PSUs and government autonomous bodies.
- Professionals such as doctors, engineers, and even lawyers are excluded.
The registration for PM Kisan Nidhi
- Farmers need to approach the local revenue officer (patwari) or even a nodal officer (nominated by the state government)
- The Common Service Centres (CSC) have even been authorized to register the farmers for the scheme on payment of fees.
The Documents you require to register for this Scheme
- Aadhaar is mandatory.
- Apart from this Aadhaar, citizenship certificate, landholding papers and bank account details should be submitted to the concerned authorities.
Without these documents, registration for this Scheme is not possible.
