VC SKN Agriculture University, Jobner visits DBT Bioteh Kisan Hub

Dr JS Sandhu, Vice Chancellor SKN Agriculture University, Jobner; Dr RK Pannu, Ex-Dean, College of Agriculture CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana visited the field office cum tinkering lab of DBT Biotech Kisan Hub for Western Dry Region at South Asia Biotechnology Centre, Jodhpur on 17 June 2021.

Dr JS Sandhu, Vice Chancellor SKN Agriculture University, Jobner; Dr RK Pannu, Ex-Dean, College of Agriculture CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana visited the field office cum tinkering lab of DBT Biotech Kisan Hub for Western Dry Region at South Asia Biotechnology Centre, Jodhpur on 17 June 2021. 

Dr JS Sandhu is a chickpea breeder & veteran agricultural scientist, served as DDG (Cop Science), Indian Council of Agricultural Research; Agricultural Commissioner of Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare, Government of India; Chairman, Central Insecticides Board & Registration Committee and Vice Chancellor of Acharya Narendra Deva University of  Agriculture and Technology, Ayodhya. 

Dr Sandhu led major breakthroughs including transformation in pulses seed production hub, technology infusion and record #pulses production as DDG (Crop Science), ICAR and Agricultural Commissioner of Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare, Government of India. 

South Asia Biotechnology Centre's Bhagirath Choudhary briefed him and Dr Pannu about major initiatives on seed spices, Biotech Kisan Hub and Invasive pests management, and organized visit to modern, state of the art tinkering laboratory of Department of Biotechnology, India-SABC Biotechnology Kisan Hub for Western Dry Region, Jodhpur.
