The event was well supported by officials of BDO office, in that context we have to remember Mr Koushik Dutta the creator of ‘Krishi Kothar Asor’.

With 250 progressive farmers Krishi Jagran’s Bengal counterpart organized a whole day farmer meet ‘Krishi kothar Asor’ at Habra 1 no block BDO office hall. The event was well supported by officials of BDO office, in that context we have to remember Mr Koushik Dutta the creator of ‘Krishi Kothar Asor’. On 20th July 2018, Friday, Habra, a large portion of north 24 paragana district saw how a farmers meet can stir enthusiasm among the common people.

The meeting was well attended by dignitaries of various section as Gram Panchayet Pradhan Ratna Biswas, Barasat 1 no block ADA Dr Madhumita Nandi, Chief Editor of Krishijagran Mr. MC Dominic, scientist cum Ex deputy Director of Agriculture Dr. Asis Hui, Dr. Supratip Ghosh, were present and shared their experience with us.

Krishi Kothar Asor was sponsored by Mahindra and Mahindra and Indofil, one of the leading company in pesticide was co-sponsor. The program was started from 10 o clock Friday morning, and the discussion continued till 3pm. Attended farmers were keen to know about the success of krishijagran all over India and Chief Editor Mr. MC Dominic elaborated exactly the role Krishijagran plays in India’s developing agri context. They were also enriched by excellent speakers Dr. Hui, Dr. Sen, etc.

Dr. Supratip Ghosh presented a wonderful display of how a farmer can preserve his soil and yield good output by taking care of his field. Soil health is most important factor in agriculture- the topic found good response among the participants. Bio-control is another important scientific phenomenon which may destine good output from field- the expert scientist DR. Asis hui presented this jargon in simple local language.

The sponsors also took centre stage and interacted with farmers. Mahindra and Mahindra’s big bolero pik-up and bollero power plus, two farm utility vehicles were displayed outside. Their executive Mr. Subesh Mukherjee interacted with the farmers and discuss about their aim to develop the rural areas of West Bengal.  Indofil’s technical executive Dr. Anirudha Sarkar expressed his views about all important crop protection.

Aiming to develop a good agri practice in westbengal, Krishijagran’s Krishi kothar asor was a great success.
