The Case IH Optum 3004 CVXDrive took home the “2021 Tractor of the Year” award in the heavyweight tractor category at the China Agricultural Machinery Annual TOP50+ award ceremony, which was a part of the tenth China Agriculture Machinery High-end Forum, held on September 21-22 in Zhongxiang, Hubei, China.

The event was hosted by the Chinese Academy of Agriculture Mechanization Sciences Group Co., Ltd., Hubei Agricultural Development Center, the Government of Zhongxiang city, and Farm Machinery Magazine and as one of the most famous events in the industry, the event aims to present agricultural machinery technology development trends as well as promote advanced agricultural products and innovations.

To comply with the upcoming China IV non-road emission standards, Case IH has launched high-efficiency products that provide an intelligent controlling system and low maintenance costs, such as the award-winning Optum series CVXDrive. Tractors play an important role in agricultural production. Case IH Optum series tractors are designed to meet customer needs for both middle and large-scale tillage and other operations.

The Optum can be equipped with a heavy-duty suspended front axle to deliver the best performance and efficiency, both in the field and on the road. It is powered by a powerful and reliable FPT NEF engine, which maximizes fuel economy. The tractors feature industry-leading selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology, a low-maintenance after-treatment system with no exhaust gas recirculation (EGR).

The after-treatment system is developed alongside the engine system to maintain the engine’s efficiency and constant-speed fuel economy. This heavyweight machine has a 630L fuel tank and 96L diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank. The hydraulic pumps offer a maximum flow of 220 L/min, while the rear lift capacity is up to 11,058kg.

Its Automatic Productivity Management (APM) allows the driver to shift easily while the ECO driving mode reduces unnecessary fuel consumption. An automatic parking brake technology controls the tractor’s stability.
