One of the biggest problems facing our farmers today is uncertain availability of labour. This results in huge physical and mental stress for the farmers, delays in completing the tasks and finally reduced productivity resulting in unprofitable farming.

A solution to this problem is the introduction of first level of mechanization in Indian agriculture. This involves empowering the farmers with hand-held equipment that is affordable, is convenient to use and enables the farmer to complete his farming tasks in time, without heavy physical stress.

STIHL,global giant in forestry, agri equipment and gardening has been launching a range of agri-equipment that has brought farm mechanization within the reach of even small and marginal farmers, bringing about major transformation in Indian Agriculture.

In the Power Tiller segment, there was a need of quality product from an organized player. With the introduction of its Tillers – MH 610 & MH 710, STIHL India has heralded the dawn of a new era in tilling!

Tillers help farmers in soil preparation which is a challenging job, especially when the soil is tough.

One of the most important features of these power packed machines is their world renowned, advanced STIHL Euro-V engine that ensures less emission and better fuel efficiency. Another important feature is the Wet Air Filter that supplies fresh, dust free air to the carburetor, ensuring excellent performance under all operating conditions. Its unique Power Take-Offfunction is best suited for water pumping and spraying applications.

Large working width and greater depth capacity helps in operations like Inter Cultivation, turning the soil, weeding, aerating and making rows for plantation.

Additional features like Front Lifting Handle, Transport and Running Wheels, Sideways and Vertical Handlebar Adjustment result in easy maneuverability and handling.

Features like Simple Throttle Actuation, Reliable Gear Shift Mechanism and Robust Gear Box with Protective Housing Cover improve the overall performance of STIHL Tillers.

STIHL has launched two models of Tillers- MH610and MH710 with 6HP and 7HP engines respectively and they are available through its servicing dealers across the length and breadth of the country. Tillers augment its impressive farmer range of equipment comprising brushcutters, mistblowers, weeders, water pumps, earth augers and sprayers.

The response to the launch has been very encouraging from the farmers. STIHL has also launched a customer contest where the customer stands to win a TVS STAR CITY motorcycle and several other prizes.

STIHL’s continuous investments in the Indian market show its commitment to the growth of Indian market. The company has already started work on a new facility at Chakan, near Pune which is expected to be ready by April 2020.

One of the important reasons for farm distress in the country is low productivity and STIHL equipment will help the country address this issue through first level of farm mechanization which will play an important role in bringing about a major transformation in the lives of India’s farmers.
