Government to Give up to 100% Subsidy on Purchase of Agricultural Machinery

Farm mechanization has actually become a very integral part of the Indian Agricultural sector. Since its introduction agricultural machines have not only helped in boosting the production of crops but have also helped in maintaining the quality of the crops. Machinery like harvesters can also be used to remove the stubble from farms which also helps in the reduction of stubble burning. 

But still, there are many farmers who are unable to buy modern agricultural machinery due to low income. To solve this problem of theirs, the central and state governments are running many schemes, so that small and marginal farmers can get agricultural machines at affordable rates. Recently, there has been great news for the farmers living in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. 

This has led to the implementation of the agricultural mechanization scheme by the Uttar Pradesh government for the farmers of this district. Under this, the subsidy is being provided from the threshing machines to all other agricultural equipment purchases.  

Farmers who want to buy agricultural machines even in a financial crisis have also been given subsidies ranging from 40 to 100 per cent by the government. 

An exclusive portal will be opened for application 

Under the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme, an online portal has also been opened for application from 15th November onwards. Through this, farmers can apply online and withdraw tokens. In this regard, Deputy Agriculture Director Arvind Kumar Singh says that under this scheme, a 100 per cent subsidy will be given to the farmers on the purchase of threshing floor against the fixed price of 1.70 lakh. 

However, only a 10-member group of pulse producing farmers can apply for the threshing floor. But it should be kept in mind that this group should also be formed before November 15. 

Along with this, any farmer can apply for a mini godown to be prepared for Rs 6.68 lakh. Under this scheme, and they will beagle to avail a given subsidy of 50 per cent i.e. up to Rs 3.34 lakh.
