Pranayama for Farmers

Farming is not easy job, all day in the field, pollution, UV rays, and whatnot. Who doesn’t want to be energetic and zestful all the time, but it is not easy to achieve this goal. No doubt, we all follow healthy eating habits but along with that, it is also important to remain fatigue-free and stress-free.

We have an ultimate solution to achieve this. The gift of ancient India, Yoga and Pranayama. Almost every health issue can be tackled with Yoga and Pranayama.

Pranayama can give you the energy to handle a day-long busy routine and also flush out toxins from the body, soothe the mind and improve the overall system, and give internal purification.

Regular practice of these three pranayamas ensures proper blood circulation, better regulation of the digestive tract and excretory system, and sound sleep, and in turn, gives you the energy to remain active all day.

Before doing any pranayama, first, sit in a relaxing position. Either in Sukhasana or Padmasana or Vajrasana. And breathe deeply for the few times. And then start pranayama.

Pranayama

Bhastrika Pranayama

Bhastrika pranayama is the practice of forceful breathing, and also known as breath of fire, as it produces a large amount of energy. In this pranayama, you have to breathe from the diaphragm, keeping shoulders, chest, head, and neck still. Inhale and then exhale forcefully through the nose. You can start practicing this for 2-3 minutes and then increase the time with practice.

Bhastrika increases the oxygen level in the blood, and also improves digestion.

Kapalbhati Pranayama

In Kapalbhati pranayama, inhale deeply at the beginning such that your belly is full with air. And then exhale again and again. And then again inhale deeply and repeat the process.

Regular practice of Kapalbhati increases stamina and also helps in blood purification.

Anulom-Vilom Pranayama

This is the most relaxing pranayama and balance Vata, Pitt, Kaffa (Tridosha). In this, place your right-hand thumb and ring finger on either side of your nostrils. Use your thumb to close your right nostril, and inhale deeply and slowly through the left. Then close your left nostril and exhale deeply and slowly through the right nostril. Repeat the process.

This pranayama removes respiratory blockages and also allows better blood circulation, and also opens both the hemispheres of your brain and relaxes your mind.

Regular practice of these three pranayamas can make you healthy inside out. And also gives you a fatigue-free, stress-free, and energetic lifestyle.

If you have any disease, then consult with your doctor before practicing these pranayama, and in summers one more pranayama, i.e., Sheetali Pranayama can be included to keep yourself cool.
