It’s the time of the year when mosquitos are at a peak everywhere. Dengue, Chikungunya, Malaria, Yellow Fever are all caused by mosquitos. Our concern is to keep them away from reaching to you. Always keep in mind that the peak hours for mosquito bites are early mornings and dusk time.

Here we will give you some mosquito preventive tips so that you are free from their attack.

How can you ensure mosquito free surroundings?

  • One must use mosquito repellents at home, especially after the sun sets when mosquitoes are most active. Be alert during the day also, as Dengue mosquitoes bite during the day.

  • Be careful with kids or infants. Continuous exposure to repellents can be harmful to them. Therefore, use mosquito nets for them and make sure they are wearing full sleeves clothes most of the times.

  • Send your child to school in full sleeve clothes.

  • Regularly clean your coolers with a spoonful of kerosene or other mosquito repellent oils. Don’t forget to dry your coolers.

  • Don’t let water collect in pots/utensils on your rooftop or any part of the house.

  • Must keep your surroundings clean. If your locality isn’t clean, you can complain to the MCD.

  • Avoid going to parks in the evenings during this season.

  • One must ensure that fogging is done by concerned authorities from time to time to kill mosquitoes in locality.
