Keeping plants at home is said to bring happiness and a healthier living environment. The air in your home can be filtered by plants like tulsi, lotus, and orchid, among others, and they are also vastu-compliant. However, did you know there is a detailed list of plants you need to keep away from your house?

Some plants are said to bring bad luck into the home according to both Feng Shui and Vastu Shastra.

Plants that are not good for home

We've listed the unlucky plants that you shouldn't bring home if you're wondering which plants are harmful to your house.

Bonsai Plants

Dwarf plants are known as bonsai. This is the reason this lovely species shouldn't be used in your home design, as it suggests that professional growth that is stopped brings bad fortune and disrupts the regular flow of life.

Cotton Plants

It's not a great idea to have cotton plants or silk cotton plants in your house. Although these plants with white flowers look lovely when used as decorative items, Vastu does not consider them to be the best option. These plants readily capture the dust that settles within your homes, which is a sign of misfortune and poverty. Therefore, keep these plants outside.

Babul Plant

The Babul plant's scientific name is Vachellia Nilotica, a flowering gum Arabic tree. Despite having beautiful yellow blossoms and a reputation as a healing tree, it should not be kept indoors. Vastu experts advise against keeping Babul plants at home because of the risk of conflict the thorns bring.

Dead Plant

The main reason we bring plants into our homes is to add greenery, happiness, and fresh air to the space. Every plant should be in bloom, and the leaves should be healthy-looking. Because of this, you should get rid of any dead or decaying plants. It is not a good sign if you keep these. Therefore, keep your indoor garden at home tidy and lovely.

Mehendi Plant

Myrtle or Mehendi plants are discouraged from being kept at home since it is believed that these plants are home to evil and terrible spirits. Tamarind is another plant in this category. A tamarind tree should not be built next to a house, according to Vastu experts. If you wish to avoid the unpleasant feelings that these plants bring, stay away from these two.

Tamarind Plant

Experts in Vastu and Feng Shui both contend that tamarind can send bad energies and feelings to the home. Since it is believed that evil spirits reside in tamarind trees, caution should be exercised when approaching them or bringing them indoors.

These were the various unlucky plants for the home, and you ought to stay away from them. Similarly, if you are buying plants as gifts for loved ones, be sure to steer clear of the plants mentioned above and opt instead for some other good luck plants.
