Try this Special Crispy Sabudana Tikki this Navratri

Indian fasts seem incomplete without sabudana. And for Navratri, sabudana plays a very important role in Navratri fast. The reason behind this is, sabudana provides instant energy during the fast. Everyone must have eaten Sabudana Khichdi, but this Navratri, try the new snack during fasting, Crispy Sabudana Tikki.

The reason behind this is, sabudana provides instant energy during the fast.  Everyone must have eaten Sabudana Khichdi, but this Navratri, try the new snack during fasting, Crispy Sabudana Tikki 

Ingredients Required 

  • 225 gm Sabudana

  • 225 gm Potato

  • 20 gm Chopped Green Chillies

  • 5 gm Rock Salt

  • 5 gm Dried Mango Powder

  • 5 gm Cumin Powder

  • 25 gm Peanuts

  • 25 gm Cashews

  • 25 gm Raisins

  • 400 ml Oil for frying

How to Prepare 

1. Just like any other sabudana dish, soak the sabudana in water overnight. And drain the water in the morning.

2. Boil the potatoes and mash them properly and add sabudana pearls in that and also add all the dryfruits and nuts mentioned in ingredients list. Add spices including green chillies, rock salt, cumin powder, and dried mango powder. You can also add another spices as per choice. 

3. Prepare tikkis of the above mentioned mixture. And put the oil in pan and let it oil heat-up. After then, fry the tikkis in the oil. 

4. You can serve it alone as a snack, or with the tea. You can also prepare chutni to eat it. Or you can also serve it with the Curd.

So, with this special sabudana dish, make your fasting tastier.  

There are many other dishes of sabudana also, including sabudana khichdi, sabudana kheer, sabudana vada, sabudana chips, etc. Sabudana can provide all the needed nutrients during the fasting period and will also make you feel fuller for the long time.  

Apart from this, this special food can also be consumed during regular days, as it provides plenty of benefits for the health.
