Reasons Why Seafood Is Becoming Popular 

1. A survey revealed that the pandemic has also played a vital role in making seafood popular. The graph of seafood retail demands is only going upwards. Seafood such as salmon and shrimp demands are rising particularly and will continue to rise this year, confirmed a survey report.  

2. The home cooking trend was the dynamic boom of this rise. Seafood lovers from all over the world were trying to recreate restaurant-like seafood dishes at home. 

3. Both developed and developing countries are driving the global market of Aquaculture and fisheries surging of about 188 million tons per year.

4. Seafood has also gained popularity due to its numerous health benefits. 

Health Benefits of Seafood

Seafood packed with nutrients- Seafood contains Vitamins such as Vitamin B, B-complex, and Vitamin A. Fishes such as Tuna are an excellent source of Vitamin D. 

Good for the Brain- The high amounts of Omega-3 fatty acids, found in seafood are extremely good for the brain. Omega-3 fatty acids can boost the cognitive function of the brain and can also reduce the risk of suffering from brain conditions like Alzheimer's.

Reduces risks of heart conditions- Seafood is a good source of protein and leaves you with almost no amounts of saturated fats. And, it also has good amounts of Omega-3 acids. They all contribute significantly to maintaining a healthy heart and also prevent the heart from developing any cardiovascular conditions. 

Diminishes the Signs of Depression- It all comes back to omega-3 fatty acids again. Seafood also contains minerals such as magnesium.  They all collectively reduce the signs of depression and help you to have a more positive outlook on life.
