PI Industries Ltd reported 39.98% YoY rise in consolidated sales
PI Industries Ltd reported 39.98% year over year rise in consolidated sales revenues for the Mar-21 quarter at Rs.1,197.10crore. However, on a sequential basis, the sales revenues increased by a more muted 3% compared to top line of Rs.1,162.10cr in the Dec-20 quarter.

The International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) is pleased to announce the release of a set of 12 new CIMMYT maize lines. These lines were developed at various breeding locations of CIMMYT’s Global Maize program by a multi-disciplinary team of scientists in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.
Japan, the newspaper that becomes a plant again
Japan, once more, sets an example of being an advanced country. Its latest invention consists of a newspaper made of recycled and vegetable paper that you can plant after you’ve read it. It is called “Green Newspaper” and was invented by the publisher of the famous Japanese daily, The Mainichi Shimbunsha.

NDDB, GCMMF to implement genomic selection for cattle in Gujarat
The National Dairy Development Board and dairy federation Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Limited have collaborated to expand reference population for genomic selection. The move will fast-track genetic progress in cattle and buffaloes and will help extend benefits of improved genetics to Gujarat farmers.
