Adani Agri Logistics Gets Contract from FCI to Set up 4 Silos Complexes in UP, Bihar
Adani Agri Logistics Ltd (AALL), a subsidiary of Adani Logistics Ltd, on Friday said that the company has recently won a contract from state-owned FCI to build four silo complexes in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Following a competitive bidding process, the Food Corporation of India (FCI) awarded Adani Logistics Ltd a letter of award (LoA) for the construction of silo complexes at various locations throughout the nation.
A statement released by the company said "Farmers currently have to wait for two to three days while their agricultural products go through the traditional farm-to-mandi procurement chain. But with the implementation of this new initiative, the processing time will only take one to two hours. This will greatly increase the effectiveness of procurement."
The Public Distribution System (PDS) beneficiaries as well as general customers will profit from this project, which will also result in significant labor costs, transportation, and gunny bag cost savings.
The Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) mode will be used to implement the silo complexes.
Adani Agri Logistics Ltd will have a total storage capacity of 15.25 lakh tonnes after the addition of 3.50 lakh tonnes.
To handle, store, and preserve food grains, silo complexes—mechanized, automated units with temperature and humidity controls—are constructed. Bulk handling is accommodated by containerized mobility, from procurement through transportation.
By developing logistical infrastructure, such as multimodal logistics parks, and comprehensive rail solutions for container, liquid, grain, bulk, and vehicle with a presence across all major markets, Adani Logistics Ltd. is the most diversified end-to-end integrated logistics service provider in India.
The business has been operating in India for almost fifteen years. Multi-Modal Logistics Parks (MMLP) have been created and are being run by the company in Patli, Kishangarh, Kilaraipur, Malur, Mundra, Nagpur, and Taloja.
