BASF’s Subsidiary ‘TrinamiX GmbH’ brings Mobile Near-Infrared Spectroscopy Solution

TrinamiX GmbH, a subsidiary of BASF, recently has come up with a mobile near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy solution. The procedure of spectroscopy is an established analysis method used by TrinamiX for making industrial and laboratory applications affordable and accessible. The solution serves as a complete solution to TrinamiX with the necessary skills like robust and mobile hardware, precise data, and material analysis as well as excellent chemical know-how. 

Knowledge is the key to making informed decisions in all situations - but sometimes the information we see is not enough. TrinamiX improves fast decision making through a mobile NIR spectroscopy solution. NIR spectroscopy is now affordable and accessible beyond industrial and laboratory applications. TrinamiX has developed a portable spectrometer that uses a specially produced infrared chip that determines the molecular structure of different materials in a wavelength range up to 2.5 µm to be analyzed. The ultra-thin infrared chips have a high detectability and thus enable the production of a powerful, miniaturized NIR spectrometer, which is like having a "laboratory in your pocket". 

With a powerful combination of sensor, data analysis, and molecule understanding,  the solution can be applied to various areas ranging from agriculture to food and beverage production to chemical and industrial processes. Imported goods inspection, quality checks, Ad hoc analysis, material sorting, and identification are some of the areas in which the solution can be used.
