We are living in the age of innovation where leaders in the agriculture industry are leaving no stone unturned to explore the avenues of technology. Bayer CropScience Limited has been a pioneer in creating innovations in the field of agriculture. The company combines modern science with farmer's skills to put innovations at their fingertips so that one of the toughest problems posing the agriculture world could be solved with the help of technology.

In a casual interaction with Krishi Jagran, Ajeet Chahal, Commercial Unit Lead - Central, Bayer CropScience Limited, shared some core objectives of the organization for the next few years. Elaborating on the future prospects of the organization, Chahal says, "We are looking to making Bayer CropScience Limited a totally service driven company in the next five years from now."

"A farmer can earn a net profit of Rs 75,000 in a year with one acre of land, no matter how many crops he/she grows in that land. We are looking forward to working together with farmers to increase that profit to Rs 1 lakh. This can be done as they take our advisory, services or products," added Chahal.

Talking about how they are going to approach to achieve the goal, he says, "Our approach has shifted from product to agronomy system. We are looking forward to providing a complete agronomy system to the consumers and connect them to the procurement. We aim at providing them credit facility, advisory, agri-inputs, finance partners based on our recommendations."

Bayer CropScience has recently reported a profit of Rs 137.9 crore for the October-December quarter of 2019.
