Bayer Looking for Double-Digit Growth in India

Bayer AG,  the world’s leading seed manufacturer and Life Science Company has recently integrated with biotech major ‘Monsanto India’ and is looking for a firm grip and double-digit growth in the Indian rural ground. The German chemical and pharma giant moreover announced a $63 billion megadeal to acquire the US-based biotech major Monsanto to create the world’s biggest agro-chemical and seed company.

Bayer AG,  the world’s leading seed manufacturer and Life Science Company has recently integrated with biotech major ‘Monsanto India’ and is looking for a firm grip and double-digit growth in the Indian rural ground. The German chemical and pharma giant moreover announced a $63 billion megadeal to acquire the US-based biotech major Monsanto to create the world’s biggest agro-chemical and seed company. 

Highlighting the key targets, Managing Director & CEO of Bayer Crop Science, D Narin said, “One of the most important targets for the crop science business we have set sight globally is to transform the lives of 100 million small farmers. This fits well with India’s stated goal of sustainable farming.”

Moreover, D. Narin added that Bayer is currently engaged with 2000 farmers while India has over 130 million farmers across the states. That’s where partnerships come in. We are talking to Government and there is tremendous interest.”
