Corteva Agriscience has worked towards preserving and protecting the interests of the farmers across India, regardless of their socio-economic status. The brand has gained immense recognition not just for the solutions it provides to the farmers but also for the steps they have taken for the welfare of the farmer community.

On the occasion of International Women's Day 2020, Corteva Agriscience took a moment to understand the role of women farmers in taking the agriculture sector to greater heights. The gender biases that prevail at the grass-root level need to end. Corteva Agrisciences believes that the 'feminization' of the agriculture sector is the need of the hour. In line with this belief, the company organized women farmers' training programs on the occasion of International Women's Day educating 1000 women farmers on the importance of good agricultural practices, the importance of women's health and hygiene and provided classes on self-defense.

If we look at the statistics, 85% of rural women are engaged in agriculture, yet only 13% of them have their own land. The agriculture sector employs 80% of all economically active women in India.
