Corteva Agriscience Introduces New Seed Brand 'Brevant' For Corn Farmers

Corteva Agriscience, the agriculture division of US-based chemical firm DowDuPont has announced the introduction of a new corn seed brand known as ‘Brevant seeds’ for farmers in India.

Corteva Agriscience, the agriculture division of US-based chemical firm DowDuPont has announced the introduction of a new corn seed brand known as ‘Brevant seeds’ for farmers in India.

Farmers in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Telangana and Karnataka will have access to the seeds via select business partners in all the states.

The company in a statement said that it has plans to expand its distribution to other corn-growing states in India and to give farmers more choice and access to its seed products.

Managing Director of South Asia, KV Subbarao said, “We are committed to serving our farmers by giving more choice through several brands and channels. The launch of this new brand addresses their different growing needs & buying preferences.”

He told the commercial as well as technical teams will work closely with the select business partners to provide the best technology & services to farmers in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Telangana.

Subbarao said that the company has one of the biggest and most robust germplasm libraries for corn and added that “Our in-depth knowledge enables us to offer best products in corn, translating it into the creation of the accurate seed choice, for the right environment”.

He added that “In addition to ‘Pioneer’ brand seeds, the introduction of ‘Brevant’ seeds to the markets in India will allow Corteva Agriscience to continue providing India’s farming communities access to products from one of the largest and most diverse seed portfolios in the globe”.
