Hyundai Pledges to Donate Rs 7 Crore to PM CARES Fund

Hyundai Motor India recently announced that it will be donating Rs 7 crore to the PM CARES Fund, to help the government in combating the COVID-19 crisis. The company has also announced of providing imported diagnostic test kits worth Rs 4 crore.

Hyundai Motor India recently announced that it will be donating Rs 7 crore to the PM CARES Fund, to help the government in combating the COVID-19 crisis. The company has also announced of providing imported diagnostic test kits worth Rs 4 crore.  

Talking about its pledge, SS Kim, MD, and CEO, Hyundai Motor India said, “Our contribution to the PM CARES Fund stands testament to solidarity we hold with the people of India, amidst this crisis. In challenging times such as these, we are pledging to bring about ‘Progress for Humanity’ and will continue giving back to help India defeat this adversity.” 

The company has already distributed PPEs, masks and other safety kits in the states of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, and Haryana. It has been taking care of the distribution of dry rations in the severely impacted areas of Delhi and Tamil, as stated in a press release shared by the company. 

Not only this, but Hyundai had earlier pledged to donate Rs 5 crore to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Relief Fund. With this, the company has joined the bandwagon of the big companies in India who have come forward and aided government in the fight against COVID-19. Some other companies that have donated big amount to the fund are UPL, SBI, and Mahindra Group among others.
