IFFCO & Drone Destination Partner to Power Up Kisan Drone Shakti

India’s largest Fertilizer manufacturing organization, IFFCO, signed an MOU with leading Drone Training player, Drone Destination to provide DGCA-certified drone pilot training and application of drones in various farming activities to increase productivity and income to farmers.

To provide an efficient and affordable spraying solution to farmers, the training curriculum will also include specialized training on the application of Nano Urea, Sagarika, and other agrochemicals. As part of the MOU, Drone Destination will offer Drone Training to rural entrepreneurs sponsored by IFFCO at its existing facility at Manesar and will also set up an upcoming new training facility at IFFCO Phulpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking at the occasion, Yogendra Kumar, Marketing Director IFFCO said, “We are completely aligned with Hon’ble PM Modi’s vision of farmer welfare and usage of technology for the welfare of farmers. Our newest product Nano Urea is revolutionary in terms of impact and the usage of drones will accelerate its adoption. We intend to train and develop drone entrepreneurs in all states on the usage of Agricultural Drones and get them Remote Pilot Certificates in association with Drone Destination.”

Chirag Sharma, CEO of the company said, “We became the first Drone Training Organisation to certify 1000+ DGCA-certified Drone Pilots in the country along with our training partners IGRUA and Sanskardham. We now operate from 9 locations and intend to go to 150 hubs in the next 3 years. We recently signed an MOU with NSDC to open drone hubs and offer skill loans through its associated NBFCs to aspiring drone pilots to promote skill development.”

He further added, “Agriculture training is going to be our key focus in addition to our other specialized training programs such as survey and mapping, assets inspection, surveillance, and monitoring, etc.”
