IG International Signs a Deal with Ben Dor Fruits for Plantations of Stone Fruit & Pome Fruit

The company’s organized and strategic sourcing system, augmented by a seamless supply chain with a well-connected overseas procurement network, enables them to import best-of-breed fruits from 22 different countries.

IG International, one of India’s leading fresh fruit importers, has settled into an agreement with Ben Dor Fruits & Nurseries which grants them the license to cultivate plantations of stone fruit and pome fruits. This arrangement will be done to nurture one million genetically-blessed and superior plants and grow them exclusively in India.

The company’s organized and strategic sourcing system, augmented by a seamless supply chain with a well-connected overseas procurement network, enables them to import best-of-breed fruits from 22 different countries.

Established in 1880, Ben Dor has been dedicated to the development in the fields of varieties cultivation, nursery and growing deciduous orchards, mainly stone fruits, specializing in early and late season varieties but maintaining a steady supply of top-quality produce throughout the season.

Ben Dor develops new fruit varieties with a special emphasis on flavor and aroma. Performing all stages from the pollination until the high-quality tasty fruit is delivered to the consumers' home.

Speaking on the grant of the license, Tarun Arora, Director of Finance and Operations of IG International, said, “This is big for Indian agriculture.
