In its aim to reach out to 10 million farmers by next year, India’s largest Agri eCommerce platform BigHaat has launched a full-fledged Hindi website.

With this, BigHaat becomes the first Agri e-commerce platform in India to have a complete Hindi language-based website besides its multi lingual farmer centric app. Through this launch, BigHaat took a vital step towards enhancing its reach and strengthening its presence by offering farmer’s choice of languages to share information right from crop advisory to guides to latest Agri updates.

“This will help millions of farmers from Hindi regions to now access vast knowledge base digitized on BigHaat platform and transact easily and efficiently on the website - this will greatly accelerate the digital adoption of Indian farmers, which is key to our vision of "Transforming the Future of Farmers', said CEO of BigHaat, Sateesh Nukala.

Over 96% of the population in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh speak Hindi. More than 60% of farmers on our platform come from Hindi-speaking states, the comments we receive on our online platforms are also mostly in Hindi.

On the basis of the recent research and feedback we have received, most of the farmers on our platform are more comfortable with Hindi. This Hindi website will play a critical role in reaching out to those specific farmers.
