Indigo-Mahyco collaboration to bring microbial technology to farmers across S. Asia

Indigo Ag, a company that focuses on sustainable cultivation and Mahyco Grow, an agri-innovation major together have launched ‘Grow Indigo’ - a joint venture that will provide farmers in South Asia access to the microbial technology.

It is important to know that microbial products can help alleviate the effects of environmental stress on crops all over the region.

Giving more details regarding the joint venture, Indigo’s Chief Operating Officer (International) Karsten Neuffer said, “This partnership with Mahyco Grow unites the technological innovation of two market leaders to maximize benefits for the growers. Amid tough environmental conditions, Indigo products can facilitate smallholders in India to enhance their yields, generate more income and implement sustainable farming practices.”

This makes Indigo’s opening venture into the small holder markets. The association of grower relationships that Mahyco Grow™ has will be used to bring treated seeds to farms all across the country.

On his part, Director of Mahyco Grow, Shirish Barwale said, “Limited water availability, unstable temperatures and an ever-changing climate, all of these problems can be addressed with microbial treated seeds.”
