Kamran Rizvi, IAS Takes Charge as Chairman & Managing Director of HUDCO

Kamran Rizvi, IAS, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has assumed the office of Chairman & Managing Director (additional charge), Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO). 

He completed his B.Tech as well as M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and later joined Indian Civil Services. Rizvi has a vast experience of 29 years of service as Civil Servant, serving in different important capacities both in the State & the Centre. In Uttar Pradesh, he served key Ministries & departments in different capacities and some notable positions include Principal Secretary, Secretary, Development Commissioner, Commissioner, Director General, Chairman & Managing Director, Secretary to Chief Minister.

Later, he joined the Ministry of Rural Development (Government of India), first as Joint Secretary, then elevated to Additional Secretary in the Department of Rural Development, and immensely contributed to the World’s largest employment programme that is MGNREGA by using ICT & Innovation. At present, Rizvi is serving as the Additional Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India.
