Zama Organics, one of India's leading organic and clean eating brands, has raised an undisclosed sum in its Pre-Series A round of funding. Angel investors including Ajay Kaushal (BillDesk), Arjun Lamba (Guardian Advisors), and Jay Mehta (Mehta Group) led the round.

With the new funding, the company intends to focus on brand development, geographic expansion, and network strengthening, as well as technological implementation and hiring.

Shriya Naheta Wadhwa founded Zama Organics with the goal of creating a farm-to-table supply chain for organic and natural fruits & vegetables, groceries, and artisanal food items.

"With the current round of funding, we plan to make healthier and cleaner food products widely available to Indian households and thus build a brand that is synonymous with authentic produce celebrating India's diverse agricultural landscape," said Shriya Naheta Wadhwa, Founder, Zama Organics.

The goal is to expand our reach beyond our current regions by establishing a strong supply chain network and strengthening our farmer community, thereby establishing a strong presence in the industry.

Zama Organics has a large network of farmers and artisans across the country and is currently fully operational in Mumbai, with plans to expand to Bangalore, Delhi, and Pune among other cities.

About Zama Organics:

'Zama' means 'tranquillity' in Sanskrit. This is reflected in our ethos - to nurture peace in the body and mind by way of clean eating. The term "organic" refers to anything that is grown naturally, without the use of chemicals, pesticides, or toxins.

By going organic, you are making a conscious decision to live a healthier lifestyle by limiting your exposure to toxins commonly found in conventionally grown produce. Organic crops are grown without pesticides in biologically active soils, resulting in healthy produce with high levels of essential nutrients, minerals, and antioxidants.
