NABARD to Provide Masks to Agricultural laborers

Amid the havoc created by Coronavirus, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has announced that it will allocate masks free of cost masks to poor and agricultural laborers. The manufacturing of these masks is going on in the Nab-Skill Sewing Centers operated at Champaran Youth Welfare Society under the aegis of NABARD. Many employees, especially women, are engaged in the manufacturing of the masks from dusk till dawn.

Amid the havoc created by Coronavirus, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has announced that it will allocate masks free of cost masks to poor and agricultural laborers. The manufacturing of these masks is going on in the Nab-Skill Sewing Centers operated at Champaran Youth Welfare Society under the aegis of NABARD. Many employees, especially women, are engaged in the manufacturing of the masks from dusk till dawn. 

NABARD is an apex institution that has never disappointed the rural people and has been constantly working to serve the interests of farmers since its inception. 

As per the instructions of NABARD’s District Development Manager Gopal Kumar Pandit, the task of manufacturing and distributing the masks to Tharu tribe-dominated villages in the Done region of Champaran. 

The masks are being distributed among the poor and agricultural laborers. Mohammad Badruddin of Champaran Yuva Kalyan Society, who has the responsibility to allocate these masks, said that it has been distributed among the people of Naurangia Done Panchayat.

He said that these cloth masks are completely safe for disease prevention and has also been made available to the police personnel engaged in the protection of the common people. Along with this, some basic information about social distancing is also being provided to the people as the local people might not have the resources to access news and other information.
