Nandini Milk & Dairy Products Makes Entry into Tamil Nadu Market

Karnataka-based Nandini brand of milk & dairy products on Sunday, 3rd March 2019 announced its venture into the Tamil Nadu market.

Karnataka-based Nandini brand of milk & dairy products on Sunday, 3rd March 2019 announced its venture into the Tamil Nadu market.

The brand is a unit of the BAMUL or Bengaluru Co-operative Milk Union Ltd, which further is a unit of Karnataka Co-operative Milk Producers Federation Ltd that retails with the brand name 'Nandini'.

Managing Director of Sundaram BNP Paribas Home Finance, Srinivas Acharya officially launched the Nandini brand of products at an event in the presence of President of BAMUL BG Anjanappa.

BAMUL has also signed an accord with RKR Dairy for co-packing & marketing milk and several other products in the Tamil Nadu and Chennai marketplace, according to a press release.

At present, milk as well as milk products is sold under the Nandini brand via 1,954 retailers & 81 franchise outlets. Moreover, the company has around 49 milk parlours along with 330 distribution outlets in Karnataka state.

In recent times, BAMUL had commissioned a Rs. 600-crore manufacturing division in Karnataka for production of cheese, yogurts and many other value-added products.

The milk union obtains milk in Bengaluru urban, rural & Ramanagara districts of Karnataka and sells it in Bengaluru.

At present, BAMUL has 2,160 milk producer co-operative societies in 3,217 towns in Karnataka.
