PepsiCo Foundation Partners with SEEDS to Support Covid Vaccine Drive

PepsiCo partners with SEEDS to support Covid vaccine drive.

The PepsiCo Foundation, on May 3, declared that it has partnered with SEEDS (Sustainable Environment and Ecological Development Society), which is a non-profit organization, to support the fight against Coronavirus pandemic.  

As per the company's official statement, "SEEDS will drive Covid-19 vaccinations for the community at large, set up well equipped Covid care centers with oxygen cylinders. Additionally, oxygen concentrators will also be provided to the center for distribution to various government hospitals." 

President of PepsiCo India, Ahmed El Sheikh, said, "It is important for businesses to come together and partner with center and state governments, civil society, NGOs, and healthcare institutions to support communities in need. Vaccination is one way which can helps us combat Covid-19." 

As per company statement, more than one lakh doses of vaccine will be rolled out to communities in the first phase of the program. This will be done through local healthcare system. In addition, five Covid care centers will be established in major states for three months. Also, more than 100 oxygen concentrators are being procured. These will be provided to different state governments.  

PepsiCo is a snack and beverage giant that has rolled up its sleeves to carry out these initiatives throughout the country with special focus on Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, West Bengal, and Telangana.  

Amidst the Covid pandemic, many such companies have come forward to do their bit towards the community. The whole world is coming together to fight the pandemic  so that humankind can win the battle between the virus and the human species.
