SHAKTIMAN and GRIMME form Joint Venture for Root Crop Solutions

SHAKTIMAN, India’s leading agricultural implements manufacturer and GRIMME, Germany, the world leader in farm machinery & technology for potato, sugar beet & vegetable have joined hands to form a 50:50 joint venture to develop as well as market potato and other root crop machines in India. The JV will leverage excellent German technology from GRIMME and state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities of SHAKTIMAN to design and develop full-line solutions for potato and other root crops. Established in 1997 in Rajkot Gujarat, Tirth Agro Technology Pvt. Ltd. is the world’s largest manufacturer of Rotary tillers, the company is leading Indian Manufacturer of Agricultural implements under brand name ‘SHAKTIMAN’. Company has expanded its product folio to entire crop cycle from Rotary tillers, Flail Mowers, to High tech equipment like self-propelled sprayers, paddy combine harvesters & Sugar cane harvester, SHAKTIMAN products are being exported to 90 countries through a network of more than 1000 dealers worldwide.

The GRIMME Group based in Damme, Germany is a family business founded in 1861.  Members of the GRIMME group are the GRIMME Landmaschinenfabrik located in Damme, Germany (plant 1) and Rieste, Germany (plant 2), the North American Potato Machinery manufacturer

SPUDNIK located in Idaho, USA and the Danish vegetable machinery manufacturer ASA-LIFT (Sorø/Denmark). With more than 150 various machine types for the potato, beet and vegetable technology the GRIMME group offers the widest and most extensive product range in this segment.
