Swaraj Tractors Receives Recognition for Creating Social impact by Rajasthan Government

On September 6, 2024, Swaraj Tractors, a trusted name among farmers and a leading brand in the domestic tractor industry under the Mahindra Group, has demonstrated its commitment to moving beyond products and achieving positive social impact through Project Pani in Rajasthan. This flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by Swaraj Tractors has made a significant contribution towards alleviating the water crisis in the state.

At a prestigious ceremony held in Udaipur recently, Madan Dilawar, Rajasthan's Education Minister, honored Dr. Arun Raghav, Head of HR, ER, Admin & CSR, M&M Ltd. At Swaraj Division, for executing Project Pani in over 50 schools across the state. This initiative, which focuses on the installation of Roof Rainwater Harvesting Tanks in government schools, exemplifies Swaraj's values of sustainable development and giving back to communities in need.

Swaraj's commitment to improve the lives of farmers and rural communities is widely known, due to its trusted legacy in rural India. The brand has a solid sales and servicing network in Rajasthan, with 125 dealers and more than 100 shops, offering a comprehensive selection of products across several HP segments and variants, while steadily increasing its market position across the state. Project Pani exemplifies the brand's unwavering commitment to addressing crucial concerns outside agriculture, highlighting its dependability as a partner for progress.

Since its inception, Project Pani has positively influenced 54 government schools in eight districts, impacting over 18,000 students. The initiative addressed the pressing issue of fluoride and salinity contamination in groundwater by delivering safe, fluoride-free drinking water via innovative rainwater gathering devices. This program not only improved student health and attendance, but also saved over INR 12.8 lakhs per year on water transportation expenditures.

Swaraj has been addressing groundwater depletion in Punjab and Rajasthan since 2020, with a focus on rehabilitating traditional water ponds in impoverished regions. Through these efforts, the business hopes to save 40 lakh cubic meters of water per year, benefiting both irrigation and drinking water demands.

With many such CSR projects underway, Swaraj continues to pursue activities that align with its brand vision, promoting long-term, beneficial change for future generations.
