Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) invites Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) for 65 posts of Agriculture Development Officer, Class-I (Gazetted) in the Department of Agriculture, H.P. The recruitment is on a contract basis.

Essential Qualifications

  • B.Sc. (Agriculture) under a four-year program.

  • M.Sc. (Agriculture) (Second Class) from a recognized University/College.

Pay Band Level-16 (Rs 48,700 – Rs 1,54,300)






Age Limitation 

  • Maximum: 45 years (as of 01-01-2024).

  • Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen of Himachal Pradesh as per government rules.

  1. Online Application:

    • Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) before filling out the application.

    • Upload all required documents (see below).

  2. Application Fee:

    • Fee payment acknowledgment is mandatory for successful submission.

  3. Documents to Upload:

    • Matriculation Certificate (for age proof).

    • Degree Certificates with Mark Sheets.

    • Valid Category Certificate (if applicable).

    • Bonafide Himachali Certificate (for reserved candidates).

    • Valid EWS/BPL Certificate (if applicable).

    • Ex-Servicemen Discharge Certificate/Service Book (if applicable).

  4. Declaration:

    • Ensure all uploaded documents are legible.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination/CBT:

    • Candidates will be notified of examination details.

  2. Interview/Personality Test:

    • Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
