29th AIPAA Annual Meet Held at Amity University

The 29th All India Alumni Annual Meet of G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, also known as Pantnagar University concluded with an eventful note at Amity University Campus, Delhi on 8th December 2019 with a gathering of more than thousand alumni across the states. The alumni of the first agricultural university of India which was inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru on 17 November 1960 as the "Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University" gathered in the ‘29th Annual Family Get-Together’ and shared their nostalgic thoughts.

The 29th   All India Alumni Annual Meet of G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, also known as Pantnagar University concluded with an eventful note at Amity University Campus, Delhi on 8th December 2019 with a gathering of more than thousand alumni across the states. The alumni of the first agricultural university of India which was inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru on 17 November 1960 as the "Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University" gathered in the ‘29th Annual  Family Get-Together’ and shared their nostalgic thoughts.

As per reports, around 20 to 25 alumni in Delhi joined together in 1980 to form a social group that has now turned to more than 1500 strong members spread across the country.  Moreover, AIPAA was formally registered as a society in 1991, at which time it had just over 80 members.

It is important to mention that Pantnagar University which was established at Pantnagar on the pattern of Land Grant Agriculture Universities of the United States has been contributing a lot since its establishment towards the development of India’s Agriculture scenario and Agriculture Research.

Krishi Jagran team that included its Editor-in-Chief M.C. Dominic,  Marketing President Ravindra Teotia, Marketing Managers Megha Sharma and Poonam Bishwakarma took part in the gathering.

Apart from this, prominent personality like Arun Chauhan, CMD of Amity University, Dr. R. S. Bisht, former VC of GBPUAT, Dr. Ramendra Singh, Indu Bhaskar of DSIR joined the Alumni gathering and shared their thoughts.
