The flood situation in Bihar has turned grim with the death of four and affecting around 18 lakh in nine district of the state, according to an official report.
Outraged villagers were seen holding sticks and weapons on their hands, threatening the government representative and JDU leader, forcing them to leave the village which was revealed in a shocking video.
Police had to be involved in the matter because of the intensity of the situation to rescue the leader amidst the angry crowd.
Around five rivers are above the danger level due to non-stop rainfall in watershed areas bordering Nepal, said by the report of Disaster Management Department.
The villages in Araria, Darbhanga and Madhubani districts are flooded above the danger level.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a high level meeting over the flood situation in the state and ordered officials as well as security personnel to keep an eye over the entire situation. He also directed officials to make all adequate arrangements to cope up with the severe situation.
