7th Pay Commission: 4% DA Hike of Govt Employees Confirmed for Announcement Soon!

In the latest updates on the 7th Pay Commission, the government is expected to announce a 4 percent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees soon.

The announcement comes after the Union Cabinet approved a proposal to increase the DA from 18 percent to 28 percent. The DA hike will benefit approximately 50 lakh central government employees and 61 lakh pensioners. The increase in DA is expected to cost the government around Rs 34,000 crore annually.

The decision to increase DA was taken as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, which had suggested revising the DA twice a year to compensate for inflation.
