Aadhar Card: UIDAI Offers Aadhar Update for Free, No Need to Pay Rs 50! Check How

It is to be noted that the free UIDAI service can only be availed online at MyAadhaar portal.

The fee of Rs. 50 is usually charged when users need to make changes to their Aadhar Card.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the government agency responsible for issuing Aadhaar ID, typically charges a fee of Rs. 50 for every update to a cardholder's information.

However, UIDAI is currently offering a three-month window where users can update their information for free. This window began on March 15 and will end on June 14.

The fee of Rs. 50 is usually charged when users need to make changes to their Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA) details, especially if their Aadhaar ID was issued over 10 years ago.

It's important to note that the free UIDAI service can only be accessed online through the MyAadhaar portal. If users need to update their information at physical Aadhaar centres, they will still need to pay the Rs. 50 fee. This initiative is aimed at improving ease of living, enhancing service delivery, and increasing the authentication success rate.
