The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government will start a campaign "Your MLA and Councillor at your doorstep" from Friday i.e. 15th February 2019 to step up attack against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government prior to the Lok Sabha elections.

Gopal Rai, AAP’s Delhi convener told media that party legislators along with corporators will directly interact with the public and ask them to throw the BJP government out of power during the campaign.

Rai said that the party will hold a mega rally of opposition parties against the ‘dictatorial’ central government on 13th February at the Jantar Mantar.

He further said, "The AAP will step up its fight against the Modi-Shah pair in Delhi after the 13th February rally. And for this we will commence ''Your MLA and Councillor at your doorstep'' campaign for the Lok Sabha polls from 15th February".

On a question if the Congress has been sent an invite for the mega 13th February event, Rai told all those who had participated in West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s rally last month have been invited.

The AAP leader also said, "Invitation has been sent to all those who came for Mamata Banerjee's recent rally against the BJP government. But we have not spoken to Congress party regarding the 13 February rally at Jantar Mantar".

According to sources, the Congress is not likely to participate in the mega opposition rally that will be attended by Chandrababu Naidu and Mamata Banerjee, among other opposition leaders.

They said with just few months left before the elections, the rally will help in bringing the opposition leaders together in confirming a '’Mahagathbandhan’ to challenge the ruling BJP government and its National Democratic Alliance allies in the polls.
