Talking about the IYoM 2023, he said, "The very slogan of IYoM 2023 as we enter this year is 'Rich Inheritance and Full of Potential' which is indicative of the evidence found of millet being consumed even during Indus Valley Civilization and in African countries where it was domesticated very early on. Millets or as some people recall it, NutriGold have been the staple food for 6 Million people, especially in the drylands. Millet is cultivated in huge amounts in 7 countries, India, Sudan, and Nigeria being the huge contributors in millet's production."
