Alaknanda Dayal Appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare

The Appointment Committee of the cabinet (ACC) has approved the Appointment of Ms Alaknanda Dayal, IAS (PB:2000) as Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a combined tenure of seven years outside the cadre upto 24.11.2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, against an available vacancy.

The Appointment Committee of the cabinet (ACC) has approved the Appointment of Ms Alaknanda Dayal, IAS (PB:2000) as Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a combined tenure of seven years outside the cadre upto 24.11.2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, against an available vacancy.  

Earlier on October 24, 2019 She was appointed include Alaknanda Dayal, Punjab-cadre IAS officer, as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, an order issued by the personnel ministry said. This appointment was with 29 29 Joint Secretaries in different government departments as part of a major bureaucratic reshuffle effected by it. 

Of the total officers, thirteen are from Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the rest from other services like Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Forest Service (IFoS) and Central Secretariat Service (CSS), among others. 

She was also Secretary to the Government of UP Infrastructure & Industrial Development Department. She was also MD PICUP & Executive Director of Udyog Bandhu and then CEO LIEDA. Shed also served in the Finance Department of the Government of UP.
