Here is what Alberta Province's Speaker, Nadine Cooper says about the potential opportunities and options opened for India.
In a remarkable effort to establish global recognition, MC Dominic, the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran and President of AJAI, recently conducted an exclusive interview with Nadine Cooper, the Speaker of Alberta Province. The interview centred around exploring the potential options and opportunities that Canada, renowned for its agricultural sector, can offer India.
In response to the inquiry, Speaker Nadine Cooper highlighted the abundant opportunities available in Alberta for farming. He emphasized the current inclination to expand the industry, particularly in value-added products and food security. Notably, Alberta plans to host a delegation in the upcoming months, inviting business owners, farmers, and other individuals to explore the potential opportunities. Of particular interest is the vast cultivation of Canola across millions of acres in Alberta. Surprisingly, despite this abundance, Canola is predominantly exported for processing, rather than being processed locally.
As India has been the talk of the town for the last couple of days as it proudly joined the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) as the 61st member country, marking a significant milestone. MC Dominic was honoured during a visit to Calgary, Canada, where the IFAJ's Master Class and Global Congress were taking place.
The inclusion of India in the esteemed IFAJ community opens up a world of possibilities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and insights exchange among nations. Recognizing this momentous achievement, MC Dominic expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We have accomplished it! India is now the 61st member of IFAJ," showcasing the country's pride.
