Alert! Online Counseling for PG Medical, Dental Course in Telangana Starts This Saturday

Online counseling for PG medical and dental course in Telangana will start from April 20, 2019. According to a notification issued by the Kaloji Narayana Rao University on Health Sciences (KNRUHS), a verification of original certificates and first phase of online counseling for post-graduate medical and dental course under the management quota shall begin from April 20, 2019.

Online counseling for PG medical and dental course in Telangana will start from April 20, 2019. According to a notification issued by the Kaloji Narayana Rao University on Health Sciences (KNRUHS), a verification of original certificates and first phase of online counseling for post-graduate medical and dental course under the management quota shall begin from April 20, 2019.’ 

It is to be noted that the first round of counseling will take place in three rounds and one mop-up round. 

Prospective medical students, ranked between 1 and 500, will have to come for counseling on April 20, 2019, whereas others (from 501 to the last rank) can appear on April 21, 2019, as per the notification.  

Interested and eligible candidates will have to pay non-refundable processing fee of Rs 2,500 at the bank counter at helpline centres at the time of verification of original certificates and online counseling. 

Adding to it, the medical rankers will also have to deposit a demand draft of Rs 49,000 in the favour of the KNRUHS, Warangal. MBBS students aspiring for a PG seat in private colleges after the first round of counseling can have a sigh of relief.  

However, in a major relief to aspirants of PG medical seats, KNRUHS Vice-Chancellor B Karunakar Reddy had requested private medical colleges not to insist on bank guarantee for the second and third-year course. 

Previously, students were asked to submit a bank guarantee for the 2nd and 3rd year of the PG courses, including the full fees of the 1st year, the sum of which came up to over Rs 7 lakhs. 

Later, the KNRUHS will issue an allotment order for candidates. During this phase, the aspirants will be allotted seats under management quota.
