Animal Abuse: Pregnant Elephant Dies After Locals Feed her Cracker-Stuffed Pineapple

A shameful incident showing the brutal reality of society has come from Kerala. In this state, locals have allegedly fed a pineapple stuffed with crackers to a pregnant elephant. After it, the pineapple exploded in its mouth & the elephant died.

A shameful incident showing the brutal reality of society has come from Kerala. In this state, locals have allegedly fed a pineapple stuffed with crackers to a pregnant elephant. After it, the pineapple exploded in its mouth & the elephant died. A forest official, Mohan Krishnan working in Malappuram district of Kerala took this incident to social media platform (Facebook), where he shared the details.

It is said that the elephant had wandered into a village for search of food where locals fed it with pineapple stuffed with crackers while it was walking on the streets.

Mohan Krishnan was also a part of the team that rescued the elephant. He wrote on Facebook, "She trusted everyone. When the pineapple she ate exploded, she must have been shocked not thinking about herself, but about the child, she was going to give birth to in 18 to 20 months."

NDTV reported that the elephant suffered serious injuries on its tongue & mouth after the crackers exploded in its mouth. Krishnan stated in his post that the pregnant elephant did not even hurt any of the villagers as it ran through the streets in pain.

After this brutal incident, the pregnant elephant went to the Velliyar river & stepped in. Following this, the forest department brought two elephants- Neelakanthan & Surendran to take the pregnant elephant out of the river. The tusker died at 4 pm while standing in the river.
