Atal Pension Yojana

The Government has launched several schemes keeping in mind the needs and requirements of people of the country. One such scheme is Atal Pension Yojana. Any citizen of India that includes the farming community can avail the benefit of Atal Pension Yojana.

Under this government scheme, a monthly pension of Rs 5,000 is provided to people after the age of 60 years.

Atal Pension Yojana Registration Process

Any citizen in the age group of 18 to 40 years can apply for Atal Pension Yojana. Applicants can easily apply online to avail this scheme. They can also register themselves through 'Umang' App. For this scheme, you will have to invest some amount every month and accordingly pension will be provided to you.

If you deposit Rs 42 every month under Atal Pension Yojana then after the age of 60, you will get a monthly pension of Rs 1,000. If you deposit Rs 210 / month then you will receive a monthly pension of Rs 5,000. Under this pension scheme, the applicant is provided with a pension between Rs 1,000 and Rs 5,000.

Documents required for Atal Pension Yojana

To avail this scheme, it is necessary for the applicant to have an account in any bank. Also his Aadhaar card number should be linked to the bank account. The applicant has to enter his / her Aadhaar card number while applying for the scheme. Along with this, they will also have to give a permanent address certificate while applying. Last but not the least they will have to give a valid mobile number.

Benefits of Atal Pension Yojana

Whatever amount you deposit under Atal Pension Yojana, it is exempted from income tax. If the applicant dies before or after the age of 60, his spouse will be given all the benefit of pension. If both the applicant and his spouse dies, the nominee is given with the pension amount.
