Bank holidays December 2020: We all wait for holidays especially when its the last month of the year. All working professionals whether in government or private jobs wait for the month of December as it's the perfect time to utilise all their outstanding leaves. The list of holidays is not only vital to plan some leisure activities but also for other important tasks like bank visits etc. While the bank holidays varies from state to state, the RBI has fixed some days when the banking operations will remain closed in entire country.
Banks in different part of India have different sets of holidays depending upon festivals in that particular state. According to the RBI guidelines, banks remain close on the second & fourth Saturdays of all the months. Second Saturday in December falls on 12th December and fourth Saturday falls on 26th December. Christmas is on December 25 (Friday), which is again a national holiday.
