BHU Admissions 2021: 10th Pass Students Can Apply for this Course; Details inside

If you want to try out different career path after the class 10^th then there’s good news for you. Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is inviting applications for the Part-time Junior Diploma Program Course in Performing Arts.

BHU Diploma in Performing Arts: Course details

Through this course, candidates can get Diploma in Music, Instruments and Dancing. The application process is being done offline; students will have to collect the application form from the University between 12 noon to 4 pm on working days.

BHU will offer admission to part-time diploma program courses by the Faculty of Performing Arts in Kathak Dance, Bharatanatyam Dance, Stani Vocal, Carnatic Vocal, Flute, Sitar, Violin, Tabla and Mridangam Streams. This course will be of three years duration.

Eligibility: Who can apply?

To submit admission application to these BHU Diploma Program courses, students must have passed class 10th (High School) examination from any recognized board with at least 50% marks in any other equivalent examination. Whereas candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) category, it is enough to secure passing marks in class 10th from a recognized board.

BHU Admission Procedure:

Students will be selected and admitted on the basis of their performance in an online aptitude test. BHU Entrance Test will be conducted from November 8. Students will be required to strictly follow all the COVID-19 guidelines during the application process such as wearing of face mask, social distancing, personal hand sanitizer etc.

Apart from the part-time diploma course, BHU also offers a bachelor’s degree in music in Vocals and instruments Sitar, Tabla, Flute, and Violin. Additionally, there a Master’s in Music (MMus.) and Doctor of Music (DMus) course in the same subjects.
