BHU on Saturday announced that aspirants will be given another chance to enroll themselves in UG and PG programmes at the institution.

Candidates who enrolled but did not submit a preference entry form before will be considered for admission.

BHU mop-up round or spot admissions for undergraduate programmes will commence from November 15 to 16. On November 14, 2022, the institution will end UG admissions based on the cut-off merit list.

Candidates who previously applied for UG and PG admissions at BHU but failed to fill out a preference form will be admitted on the spot or mop-up round depending on merit and availability of seats.

The procedure will be carried out on their official BHU website- bhuonline.in.

On November 10, the University Admission Coordination Board approved applicants' request to fill out the preferred entry form so that they may participate in the ongoing admission process for UG and PG programmes. BHU said in a tweet, "The University Admission Coordination Committee of Banaras Hindu University has accepted the request of the students and given them one more chance at admission. All such students who have not filled the preference earlier but have registered will be able to get admission on a merit basis in mop up or spot round depending upon the availability of vacant seats."

"Considering the interest of the candidates, who have registered themselves but not submitted preference entry form earlier, will be considered for admission during the mop up/spot round to be held for admissions to UG and PG courses where seats remain vacant, which will be strictly based on merit subject to their eligibility," BHU tweeted.

Spot admissions for UG programmes will be placed on November 15 and 16, 2022, and for PG courses on November 22 and 23, 2022. Candidates can pay the fees and confirm their admission on the same day. Admission will be granted purely based on students' eligibility and seat availability. The institution began undergraduate entrance registration on September 20, 2022, and postgraduate admission registration on October 3, 2022.
